"Keynote Lecture at Rendez-Vous 2015"
Glenn Steiner of the Greek Island Photography Workshops ( gave the keynote lecture and photography presentation on his new series, the "Syrian Refugees" at Rendez-Vous.  Rendez-Vous is a group of photographers who have worked for or with Ansel Adams.

"Sail The Wine Dark Sea 2013"
Glenn Steiner and Larry Angier presented "Sail The Wine Dark Sea," a lecture and travelogue of Greek photography to the members of the ASMP of  Northern California (  ASMP is the world leader for protecting photographer's rights and better business practices.  Glenn runs the Greek Island Workshops in Photography.

Glenn Steiner had four black + white images accepted into the prestigious Center for Photographic Art's Exhibition juried by Chris Brown, head professor of California College of Arts and Dean Brierly, editor of B+W magazine!  The show opens 1/12/2013 in Carmel CA at CPA (  Hope to see you there!


"Twenty Four:Twenty Four" Exhibition, Academy of Art Gallery, San Francisco CA
Glenn Steiner and twenty three photographers were chosen to shoot the pre-Christmas spirit of San Francisco one year ago with each photog assigned a single hour of one day to capture the beauties of the City. "24:24" will be exhibited from December 21st through the 22nd at the Academy of Art (625 Sutter St #130 SF), and then will be on exhibition at the 4x5 Gallery (425 Haight Street SF) from 12/25-1/8/13.

Small Works," a juried exhibition through Artworks Gallery, selected three of Glenn Steiner's Bodie Series. "Small Works" will run from November 18 t January 6th 2011. Artworks is located at 1337 4th Avenue in San Rafael.

Glenn Steiner is donating "Monument,"  a signed original silver gelatin print to the benefit of "Dinner in the Vineyard" in support of the North County Community Services ( providing food and shelter for the indigent of Sonoma.

Alcove Books has just published "Art of Seeing," a compendium of fine photography.  Glenn Steiner of Steiner Photography ( and of the Greek Island Workshops in Photography wrote this year's introduction entitled "Visions + Dreams, Mirrors + Windows."

Rachael Short Benefit (2/26/11)
Glenn + Rose Steiner each donated an original framed photographic print to the benefit of Rachael Short, a young photographer who was critically injured in a car accident last year.  The benefit was held at the Big Sur Chanterelle Festival ( at the Big Sur Lodge from 10a-3p this Saturday, 2/26/2011.  All proceeds go toward Rachael Short who continues to recover from her spinal injury (

Carmel's Center for Photographic Art selected TWO of Glenn's Greek images for inclusion in the virtual gallery of their 2011 CPA Juried Exhibition. The show opens tonight, 1/22/11, from 4pm-6pm.  Even though I'm not in the physical gallery, I DO have some pretty great company in the web gallery! :>) ( CPA is located at the Sunset Cultural Center at the corner of San Carlos and 9th Streets in downtown Carmel.

The Nude and the Landscape was shot at Yosemite Valley and at Garapata Creek near Carmel as part of Steiner's four year study of the human figure.
